Bolt Radio is an online radio station serving North Lancashire and South Cumbria since 2025. Building on a strong reputation for mainstream and specialist music programming, the station also provides community features, local information, and opportunities for volunteering and involvement.
Bolt Radio is available online at our website and via Amazon Alexa-enabled smart devices. We broadcast music, features, and entertainment programming 24 hours a day from our studios in Lancaster, Lancashire.
Bolt Radio is a not-for-profit organisation. Funding is generated through advertising revenue, fundraising activities, grants, and listener donations. From time to time, the station may broadcast fundraising appeals, with all contributions supporting the continued operation and development of the station.
Bolt Radio (Media) Limited (Company No. 00000000) reinvests any surplus funds, after operating costs, into supporting local charities and community groups, as selected by the station’s Charities Sub-Committee.
