Three men bailed following scrap in Lancashire pub car park

POLICE are appealing for information after a fight in a pub car park during which a man was injured.

Officers were called at about 4.30pm on Tuesday to the car park of The Plough Inn, Chain Lane, Staining after receiving reports of disorder.

Police attended and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital with a head injury which was not life threatening.

It is believed the fight broke out during a funeral wake and the man was attacked with a weapon.

An investigation is under-way and three men aged 28, 31 and 32 have been arrested on suspicion of wounding. They have been bailed pending further enquiries.

Detectives are appealing for anyone with information or footage of the incident to come forward.

Det Con Jonny Fairhurst, of West CID, said: “This incident left a man with a serious injury and while we have already made a number of arrests I would appeal for anyone who has any information about what happened to come forward and speak to us.

“I would be particularly interested to hear from anyone who has any CCTV, mobile phone footage or dashcam footage.”
