If you hadn’t already noticed, it’s been warmer than usual in Lancashire in recent days.
The UK is currently in the grip of a heatwave with the Met Office issuing its first ever amber extreme heat warning for some parts of the nation.
According to the current Met Office predictions, we’re in for another 28 °C scorcher today (21 July) with temperatures expected to reach a whopping 29 °C across the county tomorrow (22 July).
This is before the rain sweeps in at the weekend.
As it turns out, Lancashire is set to be hotter than some of the world’s most popular holiday destinations.
Here are six exotic destinations set to be cooler than Lancashire tomorrow (22 July), according to Met Office forecasts:
1. Venice, Italy
Venice is forecast temperatures of 28°C tomorrow, which is marginally cooler than Lancashire’s 29 °C prediction.
2. Santorini, Greece
Santorini’s temperatures are set to beat ours today as 30°C temperatures are on the cards.
However, tomorrow is a different story when Santorini is forecast temperatures of 28°C compared to our 29°C
3. Berlin, Germany
Berlin’s forecast looks more like the typical picture in the UK.
Tomorrow, temperatures are only set to reach 24°C with plenty of cloud coverage predicted for today and tomorrow.
4. Mykonos, Greece
The gorgeous Greek island is predicted 28°C temperatures today. Tomorrow, it’s set to be two degrees colder than many parts of Lancashire.
5. Nice, France
The City of Nice is situated on the French Riviera and is renowned for its mild summer temperatures.
According to Met Office forecast, it’s one degree cooler than Lancashire today and tomorrow.
6. Zagreb, Croatia
Croatia is currently on England’s green travel list.
However, anyone visiting may be disappointed to hear that some parts of the country will only see temperatures of 27°C today and tomorrow.
