LANCASHIRE Police have urged people to only call 999 in an emergency as they experience ‘high demand’ on Saturday (July 17) evening.
Police said on Twitter that there is also a longer than normal wait on their 101 service for other incidents.
They’ve asked people to use their website to report any non-emergency incidents.
In a tweet police said: “Good evening folks, please be aware we are currently experiencing high demand and there is a longer than normal wait on our 101 service.
“Please only ring 999 if it is an emergency.”
