19 July: Lancashire’s ‘Freedom Day’ weather forecast

‘Freedom Day’ weather forecast- will it be a scorcher in Lancashire when lockdown restrictions ease?

This week, Boris Johnson announced that most lockdown restrictions are set to ease from 19 July.

This means that most people are free to socialise without social distancing measures in place.

It also means that venues such as nightclubs are allowed to reopen and more events have been given the green light to go ahead.

Undoubtedly, many people will be celebrating on 19 July- but will the weather be on our side?

Here’s Lancashire’s Met Office weather forecast for the next week- including the much anticipated ‘Freedom Day’.

Today’s weather is set to be cloudy with sunny spells.

You can expect temperatures of up to 20°C and lows of 14 °C.

There is an eight per cent chance of rain at 8am.

Sunshine is expected all day with some cloud coverage from 7pm.

Saturday 17 July

Saturday’s weather sets the precedent for the whole weekend with highs of 25°C.

The sunshine is predicted to last all day- but hay fever sufferers should be wary of the high pollen count.

Sunday 18 July

However, it’s also expected to feel quite humid with humidity levels reaching 82 per cent in the evening.
